Senior Reservoir Engineer

WeConnect Energy is currently recruiting for a Senior Reservoir Engineer on behalf of our client, an E&P Operator based in Aberdeen.

This role is a 12-month contract position, based full time in the clients office on a hybrid working pattern. 

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Subsurface Team Leader the successful candidate will be responsible for reservoir engineering related deliverables whilst supporting the corporate portfolio of projects and opportunities 

• Through consultation with the Subsurface Team Lead and the other team members, the Senior Reservoir Engineer will help to define and execute best practice in their area of responsibility and will regularly interface with counterparts in JV organisations and regulatory bodies as well as interfacing with other disciplines (Wells, Production Operations and Commercial) to ensure project assurance and corporate reporting procedures are adhered to. 

• The Senior Reservoir Engineer will be expected to integrate multiple data sources in order to define and communicate value adding production optimisation and development opportunities across the clients assets

Key Actions

• Responsible for managing resource and reserves reporting in accordance with Company standards 

• Responsible for production forecasting for use in business planning, option identification and resource progression 

• Communication of subsurface risk and uncertainty to enable informed business decisions
