Senior Energy and Emission Adviser

WeConnect Energy is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Energy and Emission Adviser for our client, an energy company in the UK.

Purpose of Role:

• This senior position within the HSE team plays a crucial role in supporting the Energy & Emissions Manager in driving the energy transition for the UK business.

Key Responsibilities and Areas of Expertise:

• Assist the Energy & Emissions Manager in developing and implementing the UK Business Units’ climate change and energy transition initiatives, ensuring alignment with the Company’s net-zero commitments and regulatory requirements.
• Proactively engage with key stakeholders, including partners, to foster collaboration and influence decisions related to energy transition risks and opportunities.
• Offer strategic input and guidance on energy transition considerations throughout the asset lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulations and company objectives to enhance performance.
• Lead the coordination and analysis of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions forecasts, contributing to the net-zero strategy, scenario planning, long-term business development, and field development plans.
• Provide management with insights and advice on emerging risks and opportunities in the energy transition space, interpreting relevant UK environmental legislation, EU Directives, global treaties, and industry guidelines.
• Ensure a consistent and integrated approach to energy and GHG emissions management across all business unit activities, aligning with the client's net-zero goals.
