Manager, Compliance Advisory

WeConnect Energy is currently recruiting for an Compliance Advisory Manager for our client, an energy company in the UAE. This will be a full-time staff position on expatriate terms. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the compliance advisory team to advise the business in managing and mitigating the corporate ethics and compliance risks, including financial crime, bribery and corruption, third party integrity, regulatory compliance, market abuse and insider trading; data protection and data privacy, ESG and international trade controls and sanctions. 

• Manage compliance policies and their continuous improvement.
• Manage delivery of awareness and training programs on specific compliance topics. 
• Manage monitoring programs on specific compliance topics. 
• Provide legal and compliance advice and expertise to business stakeholders, including Senior Management.
• Work with key stakeholders in response to regulatory inquiries and any related enforcement actions.
• Support management of the regulator engagement strategy.
• Coordinates and collaborate with business and functional stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to compliance risk management.

Key Requirements:

• 15 years of professional experience in similar roles, with at least 2 years in-house in a senior or lead role, preferably within the oil and gas industry.

• Deep workable knowledge of applicable legislations and regulations.
• Knowledge of business and international best practices.
• Excellent English language (written and spoken).
